Cleaning Up Moreleta Spruit

AfriForum and community structures cooperate to clean up Moreleta Spruit

The civil rights organisation AfriForum on 7 October 2017 put its hand to the plough to clean up the area surrounding the Moreleta Spruit in cooperation with the Garslink Community Policing Forum (CPF), police reservists, various private security companies (including Chubb, Bull Security, ADT, Accon Security and High Risk Security) and community members.

Approximately 80 black bags full of rubbish were tidied up in this area in Garsfontein.

“Do-it-yourself projects are making a big difference in our community and it is gladdening to see that people are prepared to stand together to make this area a better place for everyone,” says Lambert de Klerk, AfriForum’s Regional Coordinator for Gauteng North.
