[KLEINKRANTZ] - Ten-year-old girl left seriously injured in collision

A ten-year-old girl was left seriously injured this morning when she was knocked over by a light motor vehicle on Protea Road in Kleinkrantz, Wilderness, Western Cape.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 07h20 to find the young girl lying in the middle of the road. The light motor vehicle that had hit the girl was found parked a short distance away.

Paramedics assessed the girl and found that she had sustained a serious injuries to her leg, leaving her in a serious condition.

The girl was treated for her injuries and was provided with advanced life support interventions before she was transported to George Provincial Hospital for further care.

The driver of the light motor vehicle fortunately escaped injury.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
