TWO CRITICAL IN TRUCK COLLISION
Two men, believed to be in their 40s, were left critically injured when two trucks collided at the Malibongwe and President Fouche Intersection in Randburg.
ER24 paramedics, along with the Provincial Services, arrived on the scene to find the two wrecked trucks in the middle of the road.
On closer inspection, medics found two men, believed to be in their 40s, lying trapped inside the one truck. Both men had sustained numerous injuries to their legs and were in a critical condition.
Rescue Services had to use specialised tools to free the two men. Once freed, medics treated the men and provided both with advanced life support interventions.
Shortly after treatment, one man was airlifted by a private medical helicopter to a nearby hospital while the other patient was transported by ambulance.
The driver of the second truck was not found on the scene.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations
