The results of passion birthed in a gospel singer at just 14 years of age, and having been nurtured in the church choir over the years, will show when Mohlomi Mohale performs at Windmill, Bloemfontein, Free State’s Diamond Lil’s on 23 November 2018.
Mohale, who is the composer of one of the most acclaimed songs sung in churches and by groups such as Joyous Celebration, “Ke ka Mohau”, is headed to Bloemfontein to lead lovers of gospel in praise and worship.
In 1999, Mohale formed a group called The Benjamins. In 2002, however, in pursuit of more exposure, he left the group and joined another group called Witness Cultural Gospel. Not long after this, Mohale decided to move on again and alongside Dr. Dioka Mabuya, started another group called Power Packed. Mohale admits that he moved from one group to another, but attributes his current success to this; “It has made me what I am today.”
Having appeared on national television shows and radio stations all over the Freestate, Mohale is no stranger to performing. He is currently in the process of recording his debut album which he plans on releasing soon, promising the same contemporary gospel for which he has become acclaimed.
Joining him on stage on 23 November are Fikile Samela, Prince Mohato, Anny Jantjie and Themba Masina. The show starts at 17h30 and entrance fee is R120 per person. Tickets are available at Computicket.
